We lived in Cramerton right next to the cemetery from 1958-1962. I went to the elementary school from the first to third grade. So many fond memories!! We lived on the 3rd floor of our building and played in the upstairs playroom with the neighbor kids everyday!! I remember the basement had a long hallway that was the length of the building....it had storage cages for every apartment. Sometimes the light bulbs would go out when we were down there....so scary!! Haha!! I heard that everything is gone now...that I wouldn't even recognize it anymore. Nothing ever remains the same...sadly.

I went there 1949 to 1950. It was my 1st actual school and I was in the 3rd grade! I lived in Augsburg so I know I went to that school. My dad hired a German teacher and we used a bar in the Officers Club or NCO Club for a room. That was my 1st & 2nd grade. My brother was also in the school but he was in the 5th or 6th grade then. I was 7yrs old when I went to Augsburg Elementary School. My brother was 10yrs old, I believe! My father's name was Captain or Major Claude J. Kramer. I believe he was in the CIC then. I am trying to find information on when we lived in Germany from 1946 to 1950! We lived in Boebington and Kempten in 1946, 1947, & 1948. Dennis Kramer
