Nancy, I was a student in Augsburg from 1963-67, the best happiest time of my life, the one teacher I remember was Ms. Babbitt for my 5th grade, also Mr. Rock who was the science teacher, Ms. Sato taught history, Mr. Ackerman taught math and I believe Ms. Jones was the principle at the time...

We lived in the building on the northwest edge of the school, in Centerville South, from 1961-63. At that time this school had grades 4-8, with 3rd grade split between there and the annex.

I attended there, 2nd grade, in 1965-66. My teacher was Miss Kunishima. I loved her! That year was one of the happiest childhood memories I have, in large part due to my delightful teacher.

I was there also in 67 and 68. I worked with 24th admin co. Personnel Services Division and was part of Reforger back to Fort Riley Kansas. I got out in December 69. My wife was with me most of my time in Augsburg. We lived on the economy with the German people until I made enough rank to move to government quarters. We really enjoyed our stay in Germany and wish we could have stayed longer, but my wife was pregnant with our first child and decided it would be best to come back to the states.
